Michael Olunga

Michel Olunga was born on 26 March 1994 in Kenya. He is a Kenyan professional footballer who currently palys for Djurgardens IF in the Allsvenskan and the Kenya national team as a forwarder.

Ealier Career
He begun his career while a student at the Upper Hill School with the Liberty Sports Academy in the Nairobi County League.He scored 32 goals for the side during the 2012 season helping his team finish the season unbeaten and earn promotion to the Nairobi Provisional League. Olunga hit the headline once when he scored seven goals in a single match helping his team win 8-0. After finishing the season with two goals for Tusker, Olunga was loaned to fellow premier League side Thika United for another year before joining Gor Mahia before the beginning of the 2015 seasen. Olunga finished the season as the club’s top scorer in the League with 19 goals.

On 17 February 2016,Olunga joined Swedish side Djurgårdens IF on a four-year contract. Olunga scored both his first and second goal for Djurgården on 8 August 2016 against IFK in a 3-1 win. He was named man of the match and his team’s coach Mark Dempseey praised him for his Arena. On 27 August 2016, he scored in a match against Gefle which led to them winning the match.On the last 12 games of the Allsvenskan Olunga scored 12 goals which earned him a fifth place in the Allsveskan top scorer table. On 10th November 2016 Kenyan football site Soka reported that Djurgården had turned down offers on Olunga.

International career
Olunga made his debut for the Kenya national team in a friendly against Seychelles at the Stade Linite in Victoria on 28 March 2015.
