Today we pay tribute to
Lameck Onyango Ngoche
Lameck Ngoche, born September 22, 1973 is a Kenyan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and is a right-man medium pace bowler.
His career began a turn-around during his second year, 1997, in which he switched roles from being a bowler to a specialist tail-ender for the ICC Trophy. After five year Ngoche was recalled in a surprising fashion as a number 11 against Australia in 2002, but did not bowl throughout. He missed Kenya’s World Cup campaign in 2003 but was recalled for 2004 Champion Trophy. Since 2004, he has developed into an effective bowling all-rounder and followed up his maiden first-class half century with match winning figures of 6-21 in Kenya’s 2005 Intercontinental Trophy victory over Uganda. Lately he has been working on his batting and has made some handy contribution to the Kenyan batting line up
